Cooperation with NUKAT
The KZB libraries have been successively involved in co-creation, together with other Polish libraries (Jagiellonian Library and AGH University Main Library – from the very beginning, i.e. from 1993), of the Central Reference Index and the Central Index of Titles of Journals. In the middle of 2002, both directories were incorporated into the NUKAT national central catalogue, which is hosted on a server located at the University of Warsaw and supervised by a specially formed team – the NUKAT Centre. Since July 2002, KZB libraries have been actively participating in the expansion of NUKAT.
Since 1998, the directors of the libraries have participated in the work of the nationwide Task Group for Standardisation. The group analyses the functioning of scientific libraries in Poland.
